My Grammys Experience

Hi everyone!

Last night’s Grammys were by far the best Grammys I have seen in a long time. I thought it was completely expected for Lady Gaga to make an entrance, but I would never have thought that she would show up in an EGG! Haha. I love it though. Her performance was equally unique, and aside from the freaky pointy elbows and the devilish horns coming from her forehead, I found that she did amazing, and she lived up to her eccentric and different from the crowd image. I was equally pleased by her speech she gave when she collected her Grammy. It just goes to show you that she is a real person, down-to-earth, and that just like everybody else in the world, she is trying to make something of herself. Good for her!

Another performance that I won’t forget was that of Bruno Mars. I really liked the black and white skit, his voice live, and his new style for the ever popular ‘Grenade’ song. This was the first time I had ever heard of Janelle Monae, but I thought that she did a great job and that she was very well dressed. I definitely wasn’t expecting her to crowd surf, and when she did, I was hoping she wouldn’t ruin her attire, lol.

Another great performance was that of Usher and Bieber. They had some great moves as usual, and they both fed off each other the entire performance. I love it how Usher takes Bieber under his wing in a way, and I think that sort of selfless act should happen more often in the music industry.

I am very proud of Lady Antebellum for all the Grammys that they took home, they certainly deserved them. I think there is nothing sweeter to see than when someone accepts an award, and you can tell on their face, that it is as if they won the million.

And finally, Arcade Fire was amazing to have thanked Montreal! I think that all Montrealers were cheering for them last night, and for them to mention Montreal in their speech, it was a great feeling! Their performance, coincidentally right after their Grammy acceptance speech, was equally amazing, and I look forward to hearing more from them.

That being said, I would like to hear what you thought about last night’s Grammys.

Were you impressed by anyone in particular?

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Hi everyone!

Happy Valentine’s Day! Today is a day for everyone, despite what society tries to tell us. Today is a day for love, something we all could all use a little bit more of these days. It is a day to appreciate those that you love, and thank those that have loved you and in some cases even taught you to love. You can be single, seeing someone, or in a relationship to enjoy this day.

Critics say that we don’t need today to show people that we love them, we should do it everyday. This is true, you should show someone that you care, not just on the 14th of February every year, BUT, sometimes we get preoccupied and we forget, we pass up a moment, we get caught up in the day-to-day routine and we forget that the one we love, or those that love us, are right next to us and we haven’t taken the time for them. Today we are bombarded by people, texts, emails, phone calls, homework, work in general, stress, and the list goes on and on.

So instead of looking at it as a holiday for couples, or a holiday that should be celebrated everyday, why not try to look at it as a time when you will make that effort to spend time with, or call, the ones you love and the ones that love you, and tell them something special, catch up, and show them that you care.

Who knows, maybe February 14th just needs to be called Love Day! What do you think?

53rd Annual Grammy Awards

Hi everyone,

So the Grammy Awards are on right now, and I couldn’t be more excited. I just finished watching Snooki, from Jersey Shore, live on the red carpet on MTV online. Some stars that I think looked amazing were Kim Kardashian, JLo, and Jennifer Hudson.

Lady Gaga’s entrance in an egg was classic. This is something that will go down in history lol.

What are your thoughts?

Hi everyone, and welcome to my second video blog.

In today’s video blog I will be cooking a recipe, Pasta Primavera, that I got from the Nate Berkus Show website. This is something that is great for a day like Valentine’s Day, and since it is my first time cooking this dish, I thought I would share my experience with you so that you could see how simple and quick it is to complete it. During the blog, I will also give you an idea for an appetizer and a salad that could be paired with this dish.

What do you think about this dish? Will you or have you already made it?

I would love to hear your thoughts.

If you go to the Martha Stewart website, you will find some really neat ideas of how to decorate for Valentine’s Day. This is a really simple center piece made with heart candies that we all remember from when we were younger, with little phrases like “I love you” written on them. As always, Martha knows best!
Are you planning on decorating for this special day? If so, what will you be using?
